My parents have a pecan tree in their backyard. Growing up as kids we would always eat the pecans, but then one year, it just stopped producing good fruit. Either that, or the squirrels caught on and have completely decimated the tree. Either way, it’s been a bit of a disappointment for us, because we can no longer eat the pecans the tree bears.
Either way, the tree has stood the test of time, but I remember it being much taller as a young kid. Of course, that could be because I used to be really short.
This shot was captured looking up through the canopy of the tree during the fall. The leaves turn a nice tone of yellow and when catching the right light can really turn into something beautiful.
